Volunteering Opportunities.
Food parcel packing
Volunteers would be available to attend Tabernacle Chapel in Pontardawe Tuesday and/or Saturday mornings.
Various roles are determined by a monthly rota system.
These may include:
- Meeting and greeting people, taking names and offering a hot drink.
- Packing bags of food.
- Calling out required food items from a list to be packed.
- Generally helping where required.
Please be aware that these jobs can involve some heavy lifting of bags.
Head of Fundraising
This is a voluntary position and would involve overseeing a small group of volunteers who regularly raise funds and awareness of the foodbank.
It would not be necessary for applicants to perform duties at the foodbank, although they may wish to do this.
Duties may include:
- Discussion and planning of fundraising events.
- Working with volunteers to ensure adequate attendance at events if required.
- Being a part of the foodbank management team and attending occasional meetings.
- Maintaining a strong presence with local business and the local community.
